ENCORE STUDENT HANGS OUT WITH MAROON 5!!

Max Allard got to go backstage at a recent Maroon 5 show. Not only did he meet the band, but he got to perform an original song for them. Max will be debuting this song on the EnHarmonix 2nd CD, coming out soon. Below, he describes the experience in his own words!!

My Amazing Experience with Maroon 5

By Max Allard

On September 17, 2016, I was lucky enough to have the chance to see Maroon 5 at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA.  But it wasn’t just any typical concert!

I had the opportunity to go backstage and meet lead guitarist, James Valentine and keyboardist/ rhythm guitarist Jesse Carmichael! (Adam Levine walked by and waved too!)

The best part was when I met James he was holding his guitar and randomly asked me to play a song with it!  As you can imagine, I was so nervous I could barely speak!  He said, “play something!” I was so star struck I didn’t know what to do, so I decided to play the most recent song that I wrote, “Another Day.”

James, along with Jesse and a few of James’s friends from Berklee College of Music, were very surprised!  I got some great feedback, posed for a few pictures with them and James even signed my newly purchased Maroon 5 t-shirt!

I also had the opportunity (along with my parents) to watch the concert from the pit area right in front of the stage!  It was amazing!

This all would not have been possible, if it weren’t for my Aunt Trisha Allard, who owns her own sports massage therapy business in Bradenton, Florida.  Aunt Trisha met James by chance when he was visiting  Bradenton during a break between tours.  James was referred to my aunt and she helped him with his sore shoulder.  She took such great care of him, he returned a few more times and they became fast friends!  Aunt Trisha told James about me and my love of music, and he told her he would see about getting me tickets when Maroon 5 came to play in Massachusetts!

Never in my wildest dreams would I even think that I would experience a night like I did! It is up there as one of my top memories …..something I will never forget!
